It's been a while since the last news item so to keep you up to date, I'm currently working on a new series of mixed medium collage & paintings.

The website is to be brought up to date and new images will include photos taken of more recent work that was exhibited at the New Art Exchange, Nottingham.

In addition to this I am hoping to make my book 'Wit Dese Hands', available to purchase.

A culture of received ideas

August 9, 2013

27 July 2013

Last night was the opening of Bill Ming’s exhibition at New Art Exchange in Nottingham, his first substantial solo show in Britain for almost 10 years, though his work has been celebrated in his native Bermuda. OUT OF DA WOOD exhibition

August 9, 2013

NEW ART EXCHANGE Main Gallery,

39-41 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 6BE

27 July – 8 September 2013

This exhibition presents new and existing works by Bill. Now based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, Bill is a celebrated master storyteller whose beautifully crafted sculptures are in a constant state of flux - transient pieces continually altered to tell his stories. From growing up in Bermuda to settling in the UK during the 1970s, his personal tales reflect audiences’ own spiritual and emotional journeys.

They earn less than White Bermudian men and are almost twice as likely to be unemployed. In addition to poor earnings and educational outcomes, young Black Bermudian men are also highly over-represented among the incarcerated in Bermuda. The repo
